The Fountain (Aronofsky)

Post by ReverseEngineer »

I really liked this one. It's weird, because the overall story / theme is incredibly simplified. But the way it's told is incredible. Great visuals, all around.

anyone else seen it?

Anyway, Iam guessing that Aronofsky soon will do a big Marvel blockbuster thing, since thats so popular in Hollywood these days. Critically acclaimed underground directors get hired to do the big stuff. Like Bryan Singer... He did The Usual Suspects, now he is all X-men and Superman. Ang Lee did that Hidden Dragon thing, and then he made the Hulk. Then we have Christopher Nolan who did Memento, and now is currently working at his second Batman flick. Sam Raimi did those great Evil Dead movies that we all love, but moved on to Spider Man...

Darren Aronofsky will probably make Iron Man in the future...

Remember, you heard it here first...

I am over it
I think Nolan did a better job than Darren could've

I'm just saying, he dodged the comic-bullet there.

Aronofsky. Anyone else dislike him? Pi and Requiem are throwaway. Simple stories to throwaway. Glad he didn't do Batman.

I liked Pi. I thought Requiem was sensationalist trash (I hate Selby too).
I want to see The Fountain tho.
