Children of Men

Has someone here mentioned this before?
Opens next week in Aus, two months before US (???). Sounds worthy.
I wish it opened this week, so I could go and see it during my lunch break.
I really don't want to be here today.

Margaret and David liked it, if that's your thing (or, indeed, thang):

Does sound worth checking out.

It's very good. storyline could be a bit iffy for some, but the attention to detail, the casting and most of all the action sequences are worth the cash. Not without humour, either.

Saw it yesteday. It's pretty good, but largely devoid of feeling. The main thing I felt was that I probably should have been ripped to enjoy it more.
I haven't read the book, but I reckon they could have explored a few more subtleties in the characters back-stories to give it more. Clive was good.

I loved the way it was shot. There are several chaotic, extended-take action scenes in it that are just brilliant...especially the one at the end.

Would you please get rid of the hall of flame? Obviously anyone who was interested in it had more than ample time to read it now. I'm just really trying to foregt about that piece of shit Denise as much as possible. And I think it is pretty much juvenile keeping it up. Will you please forgive me and take it down? I'd really appreciate it. Please let me know. Thanks a lot. Happy Holidays, take care, peace!

I also swashbuckle for this kind of thing. I pretty much concur with the general consensus on this one. The story was a little thin (maybe I need to read the book)... but the long action shots were pretty amazing. My favorite part was the escape from the farmhouse in the car that wouldn't start.Busta";p="824600 wrote:I'm a bit of a swashbuckler for post-apoc(ish) settings, though..

I haven´t read the book or seen the film, but an interesting sidenote to this is the following scientific "fact":
The y-chromosome is diminishing in the human race, which means that more and more men will be sterile in the future.
So, this films scenario might not be too far fetched.
