Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired

Post by Hank »

Interesting doco about Roman that focuses mainly on his kiddie-fiddling case. I've always loved his movies but never knew much about the man. I found him a very sympathetic character... despite the fact that he got a 13-year old wasted on quaaludes and banged her. Recommended film - it's currently on HBO on demand.

Roman Polanski... What's your onion of Roman Polanski?

I've only seen three of his films (Chinatown, Frantic & The Pianist), but I quite liked them. I still feel sad over the whole Sharon Tate thing, but not in that crippling, self-serving way that a bleeding-heart hausfrau might.

The Tenant is probably my favorite.

Yeah, poor Sharon, she was a cutie.

I saw this for the first time two weeks ago, and it just might be my favorite of his as well.

Flawed...

The tenant is great, but I've always had a soft spot for Chinatown, I know it's not the most exciting choice, but it's a great movie. His short films are insanely great!
