Dont listen to that fool!
The Host is horror btw... I would like to recommend that one.
Im also a sucker for old horror classics, anything with Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi or Boris Karloff. Not only the Universal monster flicks, but other low budget stuff from that era. Check out The Last Man on Earth.
Other recommendations:
Dont Look Now
Lost Highway
Santa sangre
The Night of the Hunter
Gin gwai

Don't look now <--- Fucking brilliant
Dreams in a witch house
The call of cthulhu <-- Not very spooky, but a faithful and nice adaption of Lovecraft's novell.
Mountain of madness
Lost highway (If you'll call that a horror film)
IT
There are probably loads of others..

I used to say that Santa Sangre was my all-time favourite film. This was back when I had my artsy period. Its not my favourite film, but still damn fucking good! And it means a lot to me.
I belive that Santa sangre just might be up your alley. You like weird foreign shit. ("Shit" is a good thing, because Im gangsta).
Night of the Hunter is an old classic, and if youre into classics, this is a must-see.
The one I recomment the least would be Gin gwai. Its just another one of those Jap horror flicks. But it scared me.

Don't look now is one of the best horror films I've ever seen. I think it's okey to call it horror, but I agree with Toby that it isn't all that scary, except for this one scene who will definitly fuck you up for life.
This is slightly similar in atmosphere, also a brilliant movie. Not really a horror film, but it scared me.

I've heard that rumour too. That movie opened my eyes to Donal Sutherland. I'd seen his son in some movies and weren't really impressed, but the old man is a pretty mean actor.

FBI agent. Along with Chris Isaak. Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me that is, not the series.Redundant user";p="901928 wrote:Yeah, same here. Great movie. But I didn't know Kiefer played in TP? What role?
Great film, and damn underrated. I forgot to mention it in the underrated thread. People hated it when it was released in Cannes. People sucks.
