So why does fat taste good?
I heard that the human palate (sp) can only taste four different flavors in food.
Why do so many people who could afford to eat better, eat fatty foods. What is the taste of fat?

Most things that taste good to us, like fats, sugars, salts are all very good for you... in small amounts. Living in the wild, humans developed a taste for anything that would help them fatten up, because food wasn't the sure thing it is today. However, once we learned to refine these things and grant ourselves infinite access to them...

Jeff is on to it. The thing about fat, cellulosis (is that what you call it in english? ), sugar and probably salt, is that what Jeff says. But that's from an evolutionist perspective. From a psychologists perspective you might say that these things gives you a high. We actually become semi-addicted to fat etc.

Right, well that's true... and also a product of evolution.
