we went to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences building to see the Chuck Jones exhibition. for a cartoon geek like me, it was heaven...original storyboards, production cells, sketches, scripts, production notes....everything from Looney Tunes, to Tom & Jerry, to Horton Hears a Who & The Grinch, to The Dot and the Line, to his Oscar...f'in awesome.

as a bonus (I didn't even know it was there) there was a Ray Harryhausen exhibit....he's the stop motion animator from Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts, It Came from Beneath the Sea, One Million Years B.C., etc. he's the dude who created the Dynamation process. unbelievable models...amazing pencil drawings...another realization of how lazy modern movies are.

the pilot light on the water heater went out..I'm smart and figured out how to turn it back on.

pretty soon you'll be emptying ashtrays in the minivan (careful not to spill any on elvis) , changing light bulbs (look for numbers) , and one day maybe even put new batteries in that remote , if you can find it (look in the couch ((under the cushion ((thats under the corner pillow ))))

some folks dont have the gumption , specially mamma's family fans , they usually call earl to have him fix stuff .

thats all you really need , gumption , that the tools , and helpers (people to do all the work while you pace around and curse) are imperative to success .

hot water is great , specially if you watch a lot of TBN .
