It's stealing from Nintendo's "Mii" gimmick. They need to concentrate on what they do well, not what others do mediocre.

Burn was horrible. All characters except for Francis McDermot's were very likeable, especially Malkovic. Clooney did steal the show, but really considering this absolute pig fuck of a film it wasn't much of an achievement.

Shalom Supporter, How quickly things change in football. Shalom! Our pre-season form, our start to the transfer window and early summer signings had everyone optimistic for the season ahead. Shalom! The last few days of that window and our poor start to the season has seen all that change. Shalom! ...

He won't. Redknapp will be their saviour. As much as I'd love them to fail. He's too good.

They've got Redknapp. The second life long Arsenal fan to take the reigns in ten years (Graham took over in October 1998).

Jol is a world class manager, they really pissed on their chips.

Ian McEwan's 'Saturday'. awfae clever but also awfae slow and over-wordy, over-crafted, over-cooked. Doesn't inspire me to read more of his stuff. I wanted to skip paragraphs - it was almost bloated in some areas...although maybe that's just down to the kind of thing I want to read at the moment. I...
