Forbidden Lies

Saw this last night. Not bad. By now, almost everyone knows the story about Norma "Khouri"'s literary hoax. She wrote a book called "Forbidden Love" near the height of the anti-Muslim furore back in 2001. The story is one of an "honour killing" of her best friend in Jordan by her father and brothers.
Aussie journalist Malcolm Knox broke the story of the whole thing apparently being bullshit, and Forbidden Lies is the documentary of what followed.
The documentarist interviews Norma at length about the book, her life, and the documentary itself goes into awesome detail about the unravelling of the lies, and even follows Norma back to Jordan where she attempts to prove that the events in her book actually happened. What happens after that just blew me away. The documentary becomes a subject of itself and mindblowing revelations about the "real" Norma follow.
Really interesting stuff. Don't think I've explained it very well, but put it on yer quickflix list or whatever.
