Russell Brand's Ponderland

Are any of you Aussies watching this on a Wednesday night?

I was all set to hate this guy, because I'm a bitter and negative person, but his show is fucking hilarious.

The retro clips that the show is centred around are just brilliant.

Streams of urine spouted forth.

It's a relief to see you finally talkng sense and having a valid opinion about something.

Russell Brand does resemble a pair of giant gnashing teeth with a furby attached, though.

Whoa, I was totally expecting you to disagree dude... Y'know, because of your abominable taste in absolutely everything else. :D

He's not SHITE or talentless, just over-saturated and constantly in the media, there's no reason to dislike him for that.

I love Ponderland, it's quirky and silly and is the closest a stand up comedian has come to replicating that "having a laugh about something with your mates in a pub" type humour.

Have you seen the one about the gang bangers and their weapons? I was crying.

this would be an inappropriate time to bring up the final scene of Homeward Bound, wouldn't it?

Is that where the dog gets shot for having rabies?

OR

Is that the one where he realises that he was a ghost the whole time?

no, it's where you don't know if the old dog is going to make it home, since he got stuck in a hole under some train tracks in the previous scene. :puppy:

Oh yeah! I remember that one! There's a cat too, yeah?

...and they're, like, animal police. Animal cops, if you will. Fighting crime.

Anyone else know of any animal cop movies similar to this? Or has anyone dreamt about animal cops? Maybe sexy female animal cops? K thx.

hahahaaaaaa yes, there's a cat, and a younger dog.

What about that Russell Brand guy, eh? I've managed to have very little exposure to him, so I have no opinion. But my older sister thinks he's... dreamy? :|

I saw a picture of him and I was all like who is this idiot and then I heard him on NPR and he was really funny and interesting reinforcing that one should never judge by appearances so I suppose I'm a fan now although all I've really experienced are some interviews, a wikipedia entry, and a few youtube clips but I'd be open to hearing and seeing more from the young man.

Last night's episode was farking hilarious.

"If you see a cockney that's fallen out of its nest, don't touch it, or its mother won't take it back"
