Looks like Rocky Balboa all over again, only with more depth.

But Rourke eats Stallone for breakfast any day, so why not?

Although I wasn't in favor of Darren Aronofsky reviving Robocop, Aronofsky reviving Mickey Rourke seems to be an even worse idea.

On that I wish to congratulate him.

Well I loved the Fountain so even though I haven't clicked this link of which you speak, I am still interested. Theoretically.

I liked The Fountain too, sorry. This is top of my list at the moment.

Bless Oscar season and all the DVD screeners leaking nice and early.

Saw this last night and loved it. Had the opportunity at a few points to take the overly safe and sappy route but didn't, which I applaud.

The Boss's song at the end is awesome as well.

It was amazing! Rourke broke my heart in every scene, and Marisa Tomei gave me a boner.

It was good. Nothing great, but enjoyable enough. It wasn't Die Hard or anything.

Jake's most recent history is very interesting, got spiked and full on humiliated by some promotors and Indy Wrestlers, filmed it and then youtubed it.

The Wrestler was a very good film and Rourke wasn't that great. He certainly had his "oscar" moments which appeared not to be based on any acting or acting ability. The fucker was being himself and appeared to be reflecting on his own experiences. Rourke was fascinating, but not because of ability, but because it was genuine humility and regret.

"My dear boy, why don't you try acting?" Olivier (on the set of 'Marathon Man', to Dustin Hoffman, who had announced that he'd gone 3 days without sleep in order to 'become' his character).

The method is cheating.

who cares if its cheating? it works and suspension of disbelief is sustained
