i just finished it last night .. i got a bunch of different theories on what was happening.. and have searched the net today looking for proper explanations though its just people throwing ideas out there without any proof of truth.

I liked it both times I read it
no theories, just went along for the ride.

There's a bunch of books I like, with which people like to try to figure out what's going on between the lines.
Guess what, if the author didn't write it, he doesn't want you to know.
Glamorama is supposed to be a mind-fuck. It is one for Victor Ward.

yeah im reading rules of attraction now .. im obviously going through a big Ellis faze but well im enjoying his work a lot. I think with glamorama, with it being so long and jumping all over the place yeah theres stuff in there that isnt true to the story and throws the reader off a lot but i still enjoyed it..

i forgot victor ward is the guy whos over seas (i watched the movie first) hes a much different character in this though i guess all the recurring characters change except the name.

nothing in the book 'isn't true to the story'.

it just seems like hes trying to throw the reader off a lot .. i saw this interview with him which was interesting apparently its his least successful book or well was dismissed.. another thing is the legal battle he had with ben stiller over zoolander.

how else are you going to put the reader into Victor Ward's shoes?

like right at the end .. so there were double agents one who was the stuck up victor ward going to all the parties in america and going having lunch with Eva .. whos meant to be lauren hynde. whilst all the other characters are still in paris getting blown up ...
an what the fucks with the film crew always being there and getting involved in scenes too.

Ellis doesn't talk about it much anymore, something about settling out-of-court or the like.

All the references to Christian Bale in this book are pretty funny.

Films I haven't seen:

Rules of Attraction
Glitterati
