Pleasant enough film. We have ITV dramas over here which do this sort of thing regularly. It felt like Crash minus the gloss. Felt like a British TV drama.

I read some reviews before watching it which whetted my appetite. Prosaic for the genre I felt but wonderful performances throughout. Unfortunately the actors could not carry an average script or the 'paint by numbers' direction. Lawrence forced the viewers eye too much and held the red herrings so distinctly up to the viewer, he made them obvious. It often felt like I was reading a book where the author had highlighted any subterfuge in fluorescent marker pen.

I still enjoyed the film, it was a welcome distraction, but I found it comical and irreconcilable that in such a large town there were only what? eight people who interacted? The coincidences in play designed to neatly bring the film together ultimately destroyed its credibility.

See, I told you that you wouldn't be indifferent to it.

I'm about to leave work indefinitely so I'll have more time on my hands...pending study of course.

I saw the play a few years back. Was better than the film.
