My daughter bought this for Caroline one mother's day, she said it was good and when Rick Cave asked if I could recommend any books I realised that I read very few light hearted or even entertaining books. So I decided to read this. I am enjoying it very much. It's worth loaning from the library at the least.

I've nearly picked this up several times.

A worthy read, if over-hyped, but what isn't these days?

I just finished Vernon God Little, which was sort of in the same bag for me. I struggled for the first 50 pages or so, but it was worth it in the end. I recommend it.

After spending nearly three months reading Gravity's Rainbow, I picked this up yesterday and finished it by light's out.
It was cute. Actually a tiny bit similar to Vernon God Little, in that you've got a 15 year old on the run.
Reminded me more of When I Was Five I Killed Myself, which I liked a lot.
