This is sure to become a film or a book by page two.

I just watched the Steve Irwin Memorial on TV.
I went through 8 tissues.
I really liked him. Damn, I'll miss him.
When his kid came up to speak I broke up.
Good man.

You too?

And I thought you were a tough guy Rick...

I admit I blubbed most of the way through it, especially when the zoo director started breaking down, and when his Dad spoke.

Loved the 'crikey' wreath - nice touch.

Did John Williamson do True Blue live?

I'm a little bit freaked out by it all, to be honest.

I mean, he was a wholesome bloke who liked to "get amongst it" and did some good work for the environment, but... I dunno...

I just feel like the hype is disproportionate to his impact on the world. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I feel like the media machine is this big, crazy self-perpetuating force now, and that we're all just unwitting passengers who can't help but absorb and "come around to" whatever we're exposed to in great quantity because of some evolutionary quirk in recent years which makes us more receptive to broadcast information.

Anyway, shutting up now.

R.I.P Steve. A lot of guts and fortitude packed into one man.

I'm glad he's dead, and if he wasn't, I'd kill him myself.

No Mobes, John Williamson is not dead. There's still a chance for you to achieve your goal.

Well you certainly took the wind out of my sails :pouticon:

The Cameron Diaz and Timberlake parts pissed me off.
But even those dim twats couldn't ruin it for me.
I had a few drinks and that brought out the emotions more.

It also brought home most of the reasons Russell Crowe should be punched repeatedly in the face with a mahogany table.

What Diaz and Timberlake do?

they said some nice things and then admitted they'd only met him once. Extreme cheesiness for pure celebrity value - bit of a shame.

Gawd...

Did somebody vomit on them afterwards? Please say yes. That's the only appropriate response.

I've got a box full of plastic vomit for just such an occasion...

Admirable. You should master the art of using sleight-of-hand to produce it suddenly in the most realistic way possible. It has to land flat on the ground, too, like a pizza dough...

I'm currently negotiating a distribution deal for my "realistic vomit sound in a can" invention.

I could do the voice over.
I can do an excellent dry heave.

We should hurl lunch sometime.

If lunch is 12 tequilas we can shoot two birds with one gun.

Definately if it's tequila.

We should probably get a sound crew in.
