The sexual tension between Heather Locklear and Hillary Duff's boyfriend fuels a discourse of post-reflexive idiosyncratic dialectics that subversively, and to their credit, rather insideously attempt to undermine the commonly held preconceptions of Life, Love and the Britney-Spears-On-Your-Face-Golgotha that is modern culture. Set against the backdrop of character tropes not entirely atypical of the genre, the real star of this movie is the fractured post-industrial landscape in the mind of the modern woman.
Excellent supporting roles by the L&O guy and the Queer Eye stereotype dude.
Think 'Regatta De Blanc' meets 'Aboriginal Land Rights'.
