She plays a zombie. What do you expect? Perfect casting IMO.

Great movie. Colin Farrell does a lovely Father Dougall. Beautifully non-PC with great use of the word 'cunt', some ultra violence and ketamine-loaded midgets. But yeah, the music was crap.

The Reader is a film that suffers a horrible identity crisis. The first act, it thinks it's a romantic schmaltzy chick-flick. the second, it's a legal prodedural. The third act, it has no idea how to conjoin these mutant twins.

Leave when Kate Winslet hears her sentence. You'll be glad you did.

I don't know anyone who didn't enjoy that one.
I wanted to see that instead of The Reader, but it was sold out.
So I had to settle.

I hated it. Especially after Ghost World which was good.

I saw:

Two major minuses: no music of the day in the soundtrack at all
And no Scarlet Johanssen breast-shot; she has sex twice and gives birth What the fuck

and:
Image
Kind of pointless and boring, though the turtle scene made me a bit queasy
I can't believe how anybody could have thought those were real murders

Saw Slumdog Millionaire here the other day. Its Danny Boyles best since Trainspotting.

This chick is also my favorite thing in the whole world, right now:

Saw the Tejas Chain Saw Massacre and Halloween.
TCM is kind of creepy, especially that scene in the van. But Halloween wasn't scary at all, and the music was annoying.

Gomorra. Great cinematography and photography, striking use of Naples' slums and landscapes.

Elegy. Good acting by Kingsley, bit tedious at times.

Defiance - Loved it. I'm a Liev Schreiber convert.
Taken - Loved this as well.
Quantum of Solace - Really liked it. I don't understand where all the shit reviews came from.

Obviously from people with taste.

Watched The Strangers last night. Meh.

Followed it with Shoot Em Up, a brilliant satire of precisely the kind of mindless bullshit Quantum of Solace and other films like it gleefully wallow in.
