sending a bitchy email to the local weekly paper seems to have done the trick. they have left my band off the line ups for our last four or five shows. dude emailed me this morning saying he's writing an article for next weeks edition to help promote our gig next friday.

I apparently grew the biggest pumpkin in the world....and had no idea I was doing it.

Largest Pumpkin - world record set by Chris Stevens
October 11, 2010

STILLWATER, Minn., USA--Chris Stevens of New Richmond, Wis., has grown a massive pumpkin that tips the scales at 1,810.5 pounds - setting the new world record for the Largest Pumpkin. The previous Guinness World record for the Largest Pumpkin weighed 1,725 and was grown last year in Ohio.

Chris Stevens of New Richmond, Wis., submitted his giant gourd at the Stillwater Harvest Fest. When the official weight was announced, the 32-year-old contractor pumped his fist and the crowd roared.

Stevens says his secret is a precise mixture of sunshine, rain, cow manure, fish emulsion and seaweed. "There's really no secret. It's a lot of luck and a lot of time," said Stevens, who started growing mega pumpkins five years ago. "We don't rotate them," he said. "It's how you prune. You leave only one on the vine. You want to maximize the amount of energy going to that pumpkin."

He kept the pumpkin shaded throughout the summer to prevent sunburn. After cutting it, he put the stem in a water-filled pop bottle and wrapped the pumpkin in wet blankets and plastic to "keep the moisture from evaporating," he said.

Stevens, a general contractor for Derrick Construction, lives with his wife, Amy, and their two daughters on 4 1/2 acres south of New Richmond and has a 10,000-square foot pumpkin patch.

Stevens said he would keep some of the seeds from his record-breaking pumpkin and donate others to the St. Croix Growers Association to sell. "These are going to be the most sought-after seeds ever," he said.

what a gigantic crock of shit.

a rimshot occurs when u rest one side of a drumstick on the drumhead and smack the opposite side of the drum with the other side of the stick

what u have @ instantrimshot.cum is two snare drum hits followed by a cymbal crash

if ignorance is bliss..
