1. I should/will not take the blame for this dolt's departure.
we are all responsible for our own actions, no one told him to leave.
heat, kitchen. not only that, he will be back - if he's not already, under
some goofball username (see that? it was a jab at me too.)
2. worst case scenario assuming he does not return: oh great, now we have
to actually BUY music and possibly keep a band on the road, or (gulp) actually
making music for us to hear. you're looking at me the same way the world looked
at lars ulrich years ago, right? that's fine. I like buying music. cd pictures, they shiny
and pretty too.

it's 2011 dude. ppl dont buy music. the artists dont make hardly shit off it anyway
unless they can clear over 50,000 or 100,000 units, which rarely happens for any
release. everyone knows bands make their money on the road and with their
respective publishing companies. i have absolutely no use for a cd. even when i
do buy them, i rip an mp3 and put them in a box somewhere or resell for 2 bucks.
most of the free downloads i get i wouldnt buy anyways. im just not loaded like
that. the shit i get free that i love i do buy a cd to support the band and give it
to a friend or the rare disc i put in my den (ie chris whitley, kelly joe phelps, etc)
i know it's all in good fun man but homeboys was doing us a favor. sure he's probly
immature for taking you so serious but damn man. i still love u like a brother chris.

I buy music and I am people. granted, I am just 1 man, but to me

sure it is a long stretch, but often times I will put myself
in the creator's shoes. I can imagine how depressing it would be to see your sales drop due
to favor-doers giving away your music like trick or treat candy. feather ruffling to say the least,
and I know there is no way to stop this/reverse things. I am merely sharing my own outlook on
the situation. I choose to buy. others, dare I even say "the majority" choose the opposite.
whatever. I will still sit indian style in the bathtub and say my pleases and thank yous when necessary.
also, I am not saying I have never given away or accepted (free) music. I am simply saying
that there are times when I look at myself through the outsider's eyes and a microscope.
I do this in eager attempts of eliminating traces of contagious social infections. sure, I have
a lot of work to do, but the ladder is pointed toward a heaven and my feet are on the first rung.
and yes, the brotherly love is the warmth in our backwoods steeple.
