I'm fairly confident in Ledger's skillz. You know, as long as he has an enormous bow tie and green hair.

That looks potentially really good.
It drags on a little at the end but it's an interesting idea and a pretty good mov.. film. I think it's what turned my sister into a vegan. :o

I remember feeling that Empire of the Sun was a good film made bad by the worst possible casting ever. Perhaps it was genius...it was wasted on me. Bale fucking killed the film. I wanted the Japs to skin him.

He was born in Wales. But his parents are English.

Behold my onion:

Malkovich was perfect as Basey.

Bale was obnoxious, which is kinda what he was supposed to be.

I haven't read the book, but he nailed the role as far as I could tell.

I didn't like his Batman-voice
but I loved loved loved his Bruce Wayne.

I liked how obnoxioius he was, but fuck, the boy needed his treble attuned. Heel the the trachea would have been fine. I just cannot tolerate high frequencies. One of the most frequent things you'll hear me say is "Can you repeat in a lower tone please, I cannot hear you if you're bat singing FFS".

"And woe be tied he who attempts to cross him with anything less than a gruff timbre"

Bart Simpson is tolerable. Bale. Fucking cunt. Grating high pitched just pisses me off. Gruff ould not be the antithesis to a high pitched screachy voice. That goes to deep and velvety.

Batman Begins ruled.

I'm with Mobius on Batman Begins. It was a Cut 'n' Shive.
1st half = pretentious macho chest-beating shite
2nd half = rollicking good fun with a dark side.

Loved both American Psycho and Machinist.

Christian Bale is intense, interesting, always worth watching

His Bruce Wayne was his Patrick Bateman

Pretty amazing the first time

that just sounded like a Charlie Sheen impersonation, though.

So you're saying if anyone were to replace Charlie in Two & a Half Men...

maybe the cartoon version of two and a half men.

Help me out here, what just happened?

Who did a Charlie Scheen?

I thought it was you, Jezza.

Having said that, you'd be too tall for the role.

I was saying that, in my opinion, I thought that Christian Bale's Patrick Bateman voice was an impersonation of Charlie Sheen.

Christian Bale had a part in this Norwegian movie called Mio Min Mio... Christopher Lee is in it too...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093543/

We Norwegians love it when big stars are assosiated with our little country

Like this one movie called Haakon Haakonsen... A great pirate flick with Gabriel Byrne as the evil captain... You should all check it out, if you like Pirates of the Caribbean...
