Another dark pale ale, but more awesomer than the Red Seal. Good luck finding it.

Erdinger could very well be better than Franziskaner.

I'm going to have to reserve my judgement on this until I get hold of some Franziskaner to jog my palate.

Weihenstephaner would be my choice. Or Ayinger.

Really? Weihenstephaner? I've had a few lately, and haven't been impressed.

I'd take Schneider Weisse over that. Haven't had Ayinger.

The ONLY one I've had recently is Ayinger... it's pretty great, maybe a little too mild...

The normal 1664 is a french beer that I didn't much like in the bottle, but on tap it was devastatingly delicious.

The "blanc" is a fruity wheat beer. I was concentrating on the wheat beer angle when I bought it, not really noticing the fruity angle at the time, but the fruitiness crept up and slapped me in the face in a non-appropriate fashion. It's got other bad additives as well.

Rather good as far as I can remember. Not very sweet. Bitter, tastes of barley. Medium "depth".

Ingenious! Beer mixed with one half of lemonade. Refreshing, very interesting taste. Not really "beer" in the usual sense, but it's 50 % beer so I'm posting it anyway.

Wheat beer from Ottakringer, Vienna, Austria. Very different from what I'm used to, so I don't know exactly how to describe it. It's cloudy, a tad sweet, round taste. I should drink it a few more times I think.

Two notes re: this beer

1. Stone just upped their distribution of it because of their new brewing facility...

2. Jesus Tittyfucking CHRIST it's good.

Says no to said beer existing on a shelf near me.

But it does look a bit like the Red Seal mentioned at the top of this page. Find out about that for me, please.

Where you at, dog?

I can say with fairly great confidence that Stone is way better than Red Seal, though. Stone is better than just about anything.

I'm in Sweden. State controlled bottle shops, that stack the shelves pretty well, and have a website that tells you exactly what, where and how much. Pros and cons.

Cabot St. Wheat: Nice, one of the better american hefes I've had actually, though it doesn't really stand up to the germans of course, but it's cheap and it's fresh...

India'n Pale Ale: Not the best IPA I've had but solid enough. Pretty interesting stuff I suppose. Resiny hops and darker (for and IPA), carmel-ey malt base...

One Eared Monkey: ale w/ peach flavor... the peach flavor is nice but the sweetness is out of control.

PC Blue: ale w/ blueberry flavor... even worse than the Monkey, the sweetness is over the top here as well but I can't even taste any blueberry... worthless.

Brown Ale: Again, too friggin' sweet. This one was kinda gross, actually...

I like Seadog's Blueberry wheat ale...

Well when sitting below a stout.

I can smell that blueberryness being poured from across the bar,
and would be afraid to try that stuff by itself.

That Liberty Ale has been stocked at the local, but it wasn't there when I looked last week. I might check again on Friday.
