CHICAGO - Drew Peterson, a former Illinois police sergeant suspected in the disappearance of his fourth wife, on Thursday was arrested on a murder charge in the death of his third wife.

Peterson, 55, was taken into custody Thursday evening by state police. An indictment issued by the Will County state's attorney's office accuses him of murdering Kathleen Savio.

Savio's body was found in a bathtub on March 1, 2004. Her death was initially ruled an accidental drowning.

the only thing bad about this is they never found stacys body . her family could use some closure specially after the high profile media exposure of the case .

its pretty lame cuz if it wasnt for the stacy case they wouldnt have exumed the body (kathleen) and charged him . i guess its better than nothing for the familys , but i can only imagine he will catch somr serious hell in the pen for his actions . dude was a class A jerk off , he will get whats coming to him .
