Re: Bungle shows 2020

Didn't like the show much, sounded like Slayer, boring thrash but the new/unreleased song Mathematics was good.
Full of Hell was more fun, they did a cover of Melvins' Oven.

Re: Secret Chiefs 3

I saw them a week ago. I spoke to Trey. He...tolerated my presence graciously. They played out in the sticks far far out of town, very far out.
Good stuff, tight band.

The worst albums by Mike Patton are...

I know Weird Little Boy always gets mentioned (I am sure I have heard it, I'd be hard pressed to tell you anything about it), but I'd like to nominate Fantomas' "Suspended Animation" and possibly Tomahawk's Yellow Album - was there anything memorable on that?

Re: The best album by Mike Patton is....

For me the Patton peak is the KFAD/Disco Volante double whammy. California is a little too slick for me.

Peeping Tom is underrated and I'd love another album, with better production, more slick.

Oingo Boingo

Don't get enough love in general.

Dead Man's Party and Nothing to Fear are fantastic albums.
I now look forward to completing my collection of Oingo Boingo albums (on CD).

I dunno it still seems the metal genre I like most

Mid-paced slams, grooves: could be that I am still seeking that Korn high

Metal did become too technical and treble in the 00s

slam

aka slam death metal

It's the best thing in metal right now, I have concluded. Pretty much the only area of metal which privileges groove:
