Brewery: De Kluis

Category: A Blanche Triple - Golden Beer

Taste: Smooth & slighty sweet - dangerous delicious.

Strength: 8.7% but light to drink.

Serve At: Cool

Hoegaarden are one of those companies with the touch of gold. All their beers are delicious but this is their stand out beer. Buy with confidence and dare your colleagues not to like it!
It's just like regular Hoegaarden with an obvious change in potency (taste and abv). It's darker in colour and enjoys a a warmth similar to strong wines and weak whiskeys. Hints of ginger and sweet roots.

yum yum blanche!!

i used to go a lot to Belgium... there's nothing special there except for yummy beer and mussels... oh, and if you find yourself in Brussels go to Maison Antoine and have some fries.. then go to the Grand Place and have a beer at Le Roi d'Espagne.. a bar with figures of all the spanish kings... hanged from the neck, yay!

It does taste like Hoegaarden. I have both varieties right here. More body, more pungent, but the nose and overall taste is almost the same, only stronger with an emphasis on a root flavour.

Just like Hoegaarden white, only better. Same as Paleskin peanuts are just like red skins only crapper.

*refuses to realise he might be wrong*

i didn't know that. you've sure been around, haven't you?

during 98-99 i used to go a lot there cos this buddy had free BCN-BRU plane tickets... did a lot of silly things there. I had a lot of fun, but that never involved any locals, just foreign students and such... the locals i met were really bored of life.

Brussels is such a depressing city... but that BEER, man... that's something else!

Hoegaarden doesn't taste like beer. I get what you're saying though, but you have to accept that Hoegaarden beer's have a distinct aroma and bite as each other.

I'm gonna buy a crate of this Cru stuff soon. I'm in love.

PS: Out of all the Belgian's I know, only one seems 'normal'. There seems to be a humour deficiency.

Yes, I've tried Delirium Tremens, I spoke a while about it. It's quite nice.
