Re: Trey playing guitar for SF Mondo Cane ?
i agree....fantastic performance all they way around. Patton was in good spirits and the band sounded amazing....was a little weird to see Trey playing in Patton's band as a backup performer so to speak, but at the same time he's probably the perfect player for this band...(Bay Area wise) All the players were local except for Daniele Luppi and the percussionist. Scott Amendola on drums,Chris Lopes on bass , David Slusser electronics, forgot who on keys...
It usually takes years of practice, but some guys receive an arm up to the elbow and others can take two hands.
Re: Trey playing guitar for SF Mondo Cane ?
Makes you wonder if Patton and Trey talked.
Hey, FNM made a comeback. Why not Bungle?

let me guess - a herd of the typical pseudo intellectual silent pattonzornsc3bungle rat boys
sitting/standing there focusing on the only thing in motion in their world (the performance)
and occasionally giggling as if they are picking up on some unspoken private joke that just
happened to be carefully tucked into the performance at the most appropriate of moments?

other than that the show was great ofcourse you couldn't SEE trey cuz he was hidden during the show but when they were setting up he was out there and could tell it was him.
I was surprised at how great the sound was for being outside.

FNM broke up because they were starting to run thin on material. Bungle however, broke up when they were still on top of their game. Artistically speaking, Bungle quit way too early, most of the band members have even said so. Trey and Mike couldnt see eye to eye, that was the main reason. But that was over ten years ago. Both artists and grown and matured since then. Not saying it will happen, it probably wont. But if FNM mounted a comeback, it isnt so inconceivable to hope for a possible Bungle comeback. Just sayin'.

Yes, I meant 'talked' as in 'did they literally speak to one another'. You are in igit of the highest order.
Now let's get back to substance, shall we?
Not only did Trey play in Mondo Cane, but he also attended a Fantomas show in Europe a few years ago. This was the first time Patton and Trevor had hung out with Trey since Bungle. Bar spoke of this in a fairly recent interview. Bar has high hopes that one day Bungle will come back to life and now that Mike and Trey seem to be on much better terms, the possibility of this happening is starting to look like it could definitely happen.
