Could find Judas' thread, despite searching attempts...

Well, saw this on the weekend and... wow, what an oddball movie!!

Viggo's acting is totally strange, especially after he's outed and puts on a weird Brooklyn accent in a high-pitched little boy's voice. ("It was available...")

A couple of insane facial killings, with incredibly realistic special effects (1. the criminal he shoots in the face at the bar. 2. The mobster he butterfly punches on his front lawn).

THEN the weirdest and most awkward sex scene I have ever borne witness to: with his wife on the stairs.

Turned it off after that.

I give it no borgs, no hard fists. It rates as a half-nectarine in my book.

Thoughts?

Hey JOEY.
Dude you missed the best part, namely the totally weird brotherly love/killing scene with a goateed William Hurt
I liked it. Better than Eastern Promises.

NO BORGS?

I'm personally offended. As a man, as an Irishman and as a trained electrician!

i thought it was fun in its sheer ridiculousity. agreed with aggro in that you need to see willie hurt as a gangsta.

disagreed though on the eastern promises call; i liked that one much better.

everything after Harris gets greased is denoument. And it's half the movie in length.

You did the right thing, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
