My mate just picked up the herzhog / kinsky boxed set which he's pretty happy with. It also has the docco so you can see all the stuff about herzhog pulling a gun on him to get him to the scene 'right'.

I dont know what to make of their relationship. So much of it could be fabricated and staged. Youll never know with Herzhog. Or Kinsky for that matter. But its fascinating, thats for sure, and there is little doubt that they were both attention craving madmen.

Theres a very odd and silly movie about Herzhog going off to find the loch ness monster. The first few scenes are really good, then the loch ness monster turns up and it gets a bit silly. I actually thought it was going to be a documentary for a while though.

strosek , great deprsiing film , one of the finest endings ever . i actually witnessed the identical dancin chicken amusement in chinatown new york circa 1980 !

mien liebster feind , herzog vs. kinski bitch bouts , awesome although one cant help think this was 90 percent staged . i feel herzog exploited kinskis bad temper .

incedent at loch ness , petty good but i saw through it right away .

aguire , the wrath of god , hell yeah , thats what im talkins bouts . this has to be his best film , obvious influence for porklips now . most of the shots are WAY better than anything youd normally see , despite some of the plot hitches (that feed the point of the film) and the silly jokes , i really enjoyed it . i think the casting was genious , especially the demented flute guy , and the costumes perfect . its just a shame i never heard of this , i mean come on ...
not really stoked about nosferatu , will prolly see it eventually , it will be interesting to see the bad luetenant NON-remake he is doing with nic cage (What the fuck) .

tonight i have encounters at the end of the world and fitzcarraldo to look forward to .
