I can't be bothered starting a thread for this, but did everyone here know that Christian Bale is WELSH?

I'd answer "yes" too, but I am kind of afraid of this section now.

I watched "The New World" on Friday, followed by "Empire of the Sun" on Saturday. It was only then that I realised that he probably wasn't American.

He was totally hot in Pocahontas.

I really haven't seen enough of his films to have an opinion on his acting. I think I've only seen All the Little Animals, Pocahontas ;) and the edited for basic cable version of American Psycho.

 I was thinking of Christian Slater.

I was about to say he was in the awesome movie Heathers.

I think the first thing I saw him was Swing Kids, which also featured:

yeah!

I'd watched it a million times. Then I saw the movie All the Little Animals, which I thought was my introduction to Christian Bale. I kept thinking, I know this guy from something...

I thought he was great in the Machinist, but felt the movie was flawed. Not quite fluid in its trickery.

Batman I thought was good, and more inline with my vision of Batman than any of the other interpretations (years as a comic book collector). I like that they're going with the Dark Night angle for the next one. Dunno about Ledger though.

Well I found it failed in being 'noir' stylized, though it tried - but then they'd put something slighly 'comic-like' in it, more in line with the rest of the movies / 60s series. And as for the plot - it fell on its face.

Machinist could have been a little cleverer, yes, but man - just looking at him was worth watching it for. Well shot, interesting concept, good performances.

Those are some poorly formed sentences right there. Sorry, it's early.

Nah, man. You're wrong about Batman...

That looks potentially really good.

Batman Begins owned.
It was nothing like you stated, Mobius. Comparing it to the 60's series in the slightest is a tad silly.

The Prestige is one of the only films im looking forward to..

Let's hope Billy Dee Williams reprises his role as Harvey Dent!
I think Crispin Glover would be the perfect choice for The Joker. Ah well..

In American Psycho Bale broke in a sweat at the exact same time in every take of the buisness card scene...
