i remember waking up early to watch the trash men. i thought they were awesome.

there was a time when I wanted to be a trash man, and not in the sense of driving
that big truck either. I wanted to be one of the hungover guys (barely) hanging onto
the back of the truck, masking my own odor with the truck contents, and yelling at
the driver in that weird/way too loud in the morning mutant strain of english.
it was to the point where I thought this particular profession was my "calling".
