Burn is amusing, in a "these people are dumb, look what they are doing lol" kind of way. Another expose of the ludicrous lengths people will go to to get what they want in life. Frances McDormand is the ying to her Fargo charactor's yang, Brad Pitt is a moron, Malkovich and Swinton are completely unlikeable, Richard Jenkins is underused but brilliant, Clooney chews everyone else off the screen with his womaniser/paranoiac and gets the best scenes. Oh and the secret service guys are funny too. Enjoyable also, with all the comedy coming from the vileness of the charactors.
Agree with everything - especially about Richard Jenkins.
Clooney and McDormand change character (a relief), and the exchanges between the CIA guys are two of the funniest scenes in the movie.
Loved the "You thought it was a Schwinn?!"
And the line the PI comes out with when Clooney questions him about the name of the company.

This sounds like you guys.
they had it for 50 cents a week at the rental . so i had it for months , watched it like 20 times while smoking up. it gets better with repeat viewings especially if you can forgive them for using a beach ball with the actual feet from The Creature From The Black Lagoon as the bad guy !
its a great movie . john carpenters student film .
the finished product is just the garbage left over from doing the work.
Burn was horrible. All characters except for Francis McDermot's were very likeable, especially Malkovic. Clooney did steal the show, but really considering this absolute pig fuck of a film it wasn't much of an achievement.
Saw "Notes on a Scandal" recently. Dame Judy truly disgusted my wife, much to my Lolz. That movie made me feel very cheated, having never been molested by a hot teacher as a youngster.

I got halfway through Realms of the Unreal and I conked out. Hoping to finish it today
Also got that TV series Mad Men- not bad
You'd like it. I also recommend the Gonzo documentary. Even if you dont like Hunter. If you like drugs (which I know you do) and guns, this thing is right up your alley.
Mad Men is next on my tv series list. Ive been meaning to check it out for a while now, but I just havent had the time.
Do not watch Mad Men if you have given up smoking within the last 20 years

Just got back from watching Burn After Reading. I thought it was excellent. Actually enjoyed a Clooney performance...
Most of the characters were likeable, but Oz(s)bourne's wife? Nu-uh.
Nearl: Where's Babar?
X-tacle: He's in the shower.
Nearl: No he's not! Elephants take showers with their noses!
the latest 'incredible hulk' movie, the one with ed norton
i really wish these action flicks would stop with the 'heres a half hearted, flimsy attempt for a reason you should give a fuck about anybody in this movie' and just get on with the explosions and shit
I'd marry a black man if he had all the degrees Poitier's character had.
Katherine Hepburn's late stuff is pretty great.
A Lion In Winter was nice. I'd even go so far as to recommend it.
Saw the Bourne Somethingorother the other day (the second one)
I had previously seen no Bournes
This is what got me interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcG-zBQErDo
Pretty good, nothing spectacular, solid if rather predictable stuff, but I enjoyed it somewhat
Afterwards, hoping for some Host-like goodness saw:
Which was CRAP, absolute tosh

I saw the end of the Running Man tonight
I never realized as a kid, that Richard Dawson was the bad guy game show host in that film
or what that meant, in the grander scheme of things.
