What does me being an American have to do with you not knowing what you're talking about?

I'm just pointing out that this thread isn't for Scots only.

My beloved in-laws bought me a bottle of Walker Green back from their holidays.

I reckon I'll just cop it sweet.

Does your wife have a sister?
The only kind of in-laws I want are the whisky giving sort.

Yes, she does have a sister, who is engaged to a laphroaig lover with fashion sense, no less.

Rick, I'll be hitting the duty free again soon, and I'm thinking an 18yo Talisker and the Scapa.
I can get the the Scapa 1l for about $50 US, which sounds like a bargain.
I'm not sure how much the Talisker will be.

I only have 1 :?
*plucks*

I've never had the 18 year Talisker, Eli.
Just the 10. And that isn't cheap.
The Scapa price sounds right to me.
That's what it is here for a bottle.

For a litre? It costs more than that for the 700ml bottle in Oz.

You would otherwise recommend the 10 for the Talisker?

Ah. Missed that.
It's $50 for the 700ml here.
That's one hell of a bargain for the big bottle.

The Talisker 10 is great.
I'd like to taste the changes in the 18 year.

I saw this and wondered myself: http://www.whiskymag.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2286
however I'm not familiar with the 10 in the first place. I only read about the 18 because it won the "Best Single Malt In The World" award this year.
I wouldn't mind trying the Suntory or the Taketsuru.

I drank the Suntory at work.
It's not bad. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.
If you can get it for free go for it.

And the cunt's quoting Lost in Translation every time you bring the glass up to your lips?
Priceless.

You spelled it just right, Hank.

I gotta find that website that has an old Scot pronouncing the names of different whiskies.
