I want to make the perfect salad this weekend

Salad is one of those things you make with whatever's around, unless you've got something specific in mind...

Keep it simple. That's my advice. And don't drown it with heavy dressings.
Either do a simple vinagrette or french dressing.
Or some sour-cream\creme fraiche with black pepper, spring onions etc.
A mozzarella salad is one of my favourites.
Tomatoes (slices)
Basil
Mozzarella (slices)
Olive oil
Black pepper
Salt
If you want something lighter just do a simple green salad.
Either do a simple vinagrette or french dressing.
Or some sour-cream\creme fraiche with black pepper, spring onions etc.
