Wolf Creek vs Hills Have Eyes (remake)

Post by Eviltoastman »

I preferreed Hills Have Eyes, though there are several points in that film where I felt Aja made too many Hollywood concessions for me to fully enjoy the film. Wolf Creek was funnier though. Any film with Australian accent makes me laugh it seems.

Should I vote for Wolf Creek if that's the only one I've seen?

Is this like that other poll where you demand votes, and then delete the results?

Can I change my vote?

Not enough Billy Drago in The Hills Have Eyes but it was pretty entertaining. I like when the brother-in-law goes into that town with all those burnt mannequins and the dog eats that dude with the big head.

That dude looked like Rubber Johnny.

My buddies and I were cracking jokes at that film almost the entire time. Looking back the movie wasnt that bad though. The intro with those people getting attacked by a dude with a pick axe was pretty cool.

but they never explain what happends to that fish :flounder:

It's interesting that the Celtic peoples of Wales would use "Uff" as the name for wolf, when the pagan Scandinavians called them "Ulf", even though the Welsh language is much older than the contact between themselves and the Northmen.

Yeah... hmmm... Really makes ya think.

I've only seen Wolf Creek, but the original Hills Have Eyes is great, and Wolf Creek as an abomination and a failed horror movie. So I vote Hills Have Eyes, the remake I haven't seen.

I heard some where that in The Hills Have Eyes, there was a scene so graphic that Wes Craven said it was too much. Im not sure weather or not it was in the remake or in the old one, but id like to know what went down in that scene.

Ok, the Hills Have Eyes remake sucks. The original is funnier, I did like how Jupitor looked like Lord Worm though. I also condone over done violence in movies, so I guess Hills Have Eyes was enjoyable, but not like the original.

Any idiot can see that Wolf Creek is a better made movie, although they are nothing like each other.

The Hills Have Eyes (remake) has one of the worst scripts of all time. The only real highlight for me was the pantswettingly funny incendiary crucifixion scene involving the Dad.

Wolf Creek was horrible. Poor cast, poor execution and artistic license of a actual event, poor pacing, weak and cowardly explicit graphics, and not enough boobs.

Hills Have Eyes remake = typical hollywood remake, just totally forget to include FUN! but it at least had some decent violence.

Hollywood doesn't produce good horror. We might as well be comparing the smell of our faeces.

False. I don't get horrified by horror movies. So I enjoy them for different reasons. Hollywood, not recently that I know of has made some killer movies. Mainstream movies in general suck as of recently. They need to do another Friday movie and revolutinize modern cinema again. Bring back Chris Tucker this time.
