Re: how to make spicey meatballs..
i have to read stuff? damn.
heres how to make spicey meatballs i learned how to make them from my gramma so there are no measurments. its all by taste
Marinara Sauce
ground beef or turkey
stale toast seasoned and broken into crumbs(please no store bought bread crumbs)
one egg for every lb of meat.
finely minced onion
finely minced garlic
dried basil
dried oregano
dried red pepper (that red stuff you put on pizza)
parmaesan cheese
salt
pepper
olive oil
wash your hands. when you make these you should mix everything with your hands, it adds to the spice.
put the meat in a large mixing bowl and make an indention in the top with your fist. put some olive oil in the indentation and then break the egg into it. mix well with your hands. form the mixture into a big ball and make another indentation with your fist. this time put the bazil oregano salt pepper cheese and red pepper in the indentation. Mix again. make another indentation. this time put the bread crumbs, garlic and onion in. don't use too much onion or the balls will fall apart. mix again. Heat some olive oil in a pan. Make the mixture into balls about the size of a smallish human testicle and drop them in the pan. brown lightly on all sides. Drain then pour the marinara sauce over the balls. Simmer on low heat until the balls have absorbed the flavor of the sauce. Serve on a sandwhich with provalone or on pasta. my favorite for this dish is penne.
