yet another band I need to pay more attention to.
still to this day, I am seeing artists cite them as influences. artists that I never would have guessed.
especially targeting joe strummer and his writing abilities.
would anyone care to talk about his/her favorite clash moments and/or records?
I might just start with obtaining the first release and chugging right on down the track, chronologically.

Re: THE CLASH
pick up their first album from 1977
then pick up London Calling from 1979
easily their 2 best albums
their later albums are kinda shitty
they were one of the first rock/punk bands to use reggae in their music
(them and Rush circa 1980)
London Calling is pretty much a masterpiece.

Fingerless is right.
But my fav is Sandinista! Their double album opus
Also the Julien Temple doc about Strummer is well worth watching

I like em all.
Combat Rock was the first I bought and it's still been my favorite.
love the track "Red Angel Dragnet" and "Straight To hell"
