Re: highlight of your day?
adrian belew signed my strat .
we saw him at his "keynote address" on electric guitar past and future . i got up for the q +a and asked about this new pedal he has been using , he admitted it was his "secret" , and told me it was going to cost me . its some digitech thing he actually requested the design , not being happy with the whammy pedal . man do i want one now .
i had noticed this device on the 2 of a perfect pair tour , he was tapping it furiously during leads , quite a bit . he demo'ed the thing , it was sweet , the croud was laughing about him admitting he wasnt a very good guitar player , it was just this pedal doing things that are not physically possible , even if you are "stevie ray vai" . the whole address was really good , very funny , self depreciating humor , pretty light on demos , but still very informative .
i gave him this noise box i made that has animal samples in it , he really got a kick out of it . on the back of my strat he wrote "good luck PT2" , pretty sweet . i got audio of the whole thing , pix and vid , we were front row . he's got a great sense of humor .
he gave me a contact email so he can choose the fuzzbox i make for him , after i get some demo vids put together .

Today is my last day of work and last day of living in Newport News. Starting tonight, I'll be shacking up full time with Giovanni.

A California-based performance bracelet manufacturer with ties to some of the biggest names in sports has filed for protection in federal bankruptcy court in the wake of false advertisement claims.
Power Balance LLC, which lists NBA superstar Kobe Bryant as one of its biggest creditors, filed for protection in California this week amid accusations of misleading advertising related to its popular hologram-embedded sports bracelet, The Orange County Register reported

I like that the one person the interview is a dumbass. They really think their house is just going to slide down the hill and end up on some island. Really? You don't think your house is going to get CRUSHED by the dirt as it's FALLING off a cliff???

Re: highlight of your day?
gomti did tear downs on 3 fisher price toys , i am going to hack all 3 circuits into a noisemaker for my lil neice . the toys use D cell batterys so i got 8 good ones out of em . i think the total cost was 2:50 . got a newer window unit AC for 7 bucks . this goodwill store down the street just kills ! got a bunch more values , this sub amp i have been lookin for forever was 4 bucks , i spent 33 bucks , a new record !
they had a hanna montana sing along guitar for a buck . it has a pt2399 echo chip in it (they quit makin those) , anyway i hacked the board into an echo amp , adding pots for delay time and regeneration (repeats) . it self oscillates
i got this tiny outdoor pa horn lookin thing , like 2 1/2 inches , it sooo cute . so i am gonna mount that echo amp at my work station and use that lil speaker for a center channel echo .
i am really diggin my new work area . i quit at 2:30 , really didnt want to .

dude with the cane got straight punched in his face on camera.
isn't there some law about assulting handicapped people?
sorta of like when a white guy attacks a black guy and it is racially motivated it's a federal hate crime and they punished more harshly. could be just trippin but i swear i've heard of that b4.
bum fights anyone? that's some great programming!

Re: highlight of your day?
$1.50 per ticket....shit, I'm owed over $1000.
Your Ticketmaster refund may be coming soon
Dec 2, 2011
Who hasn’t bought a Ticketmaster ticket between Oct. 21, 1999 and Oct. 19, 2011? If you did, a refund may be on the way soon.
A couple of guys who felt overcharged by Ticketmaster have filed a class-action suit. You may be eligible for refunds if a court approves the proposed settlement against the giant ticket distributor.
How much? Could be $1.50 for every ticket bought on the site during the 12 year span, according to hypebot.com:
There is a proposed limit of 17 ticket orders. But that still means that the fan who goes to even one Ticketmaster show a year over the last dozen years will see more than $25. Some fans who had tickets shipped via UPS may be entitled to up to $5 per ticket refunds.
According to court documents, Ticketmaster should be forced to pay out as much as $50 million. But the lawsuit won’t stop Ticketmaster from charging high fees in the future. It just means that they have to be clearer about doing so on their web site.
The lawsuit’s official page shows that it all started with two customers who claimed that “Ticketmaster’s Order Processing Fees and UPS Expedited Delivery Prices of tickets are excessive and deceptive.” Ticketmaster is disputing those claims, the Consumerist reports.
Here’s the suit:

Re: highlight of your day?
finished a christmas present for my niece , its pretty artsy , the chassis . my brother and his wife are gonna be hatin on me for this one , i call it "the insanity box" .
i did pop something with a reverse polarity mishap , but i brought it back to life with a 10 ohm resistor , thank goodness . this stupid home made bipolar power supply hack i did (pc power supply) i get those crossed up sometimes , the plus and minus .
Deet gave me a hand in fuzzlab tonight , its really nice . still have some stuff to organize , but wow , i am going to be able to optimize the efficiency factor with this setup . now i have have 3 new videos to do before xmass .

Re: highlight of your day?
more fun in fuzzlab .
got some boston acoustic surround speakers for 50 cents . wired them to this kenwood digi-delay / surround processor i got for next to nothing . my work station has the most ghetto 5.1 system ever . the echo channel is a barbie sing song guitar echo circuit hack , a 3 dollar altec lansing sub , some nice no name mains off of my mp3 . it really sounds cool though , when you get the echo time right .
i built an lm386 amp in a lil box for my bench , going to do this silly ass speaker cab for it tomorrow . i bought a bunch of stain samples , and a quart of poly clear for a few cabs i will be doing soon . a few more amps , then peddles , and this guitar synth hack i am doing that looks like fun .
its so nice to have a legit work / storage area now . its coming along nicely but slowly ! i have added some really goofy stuff / decorations as well . there is a mini atari joystick hooked up to an air jammer ampo , you can play smoke on the water , and 5 other rockers . i have a wireless door bell , for when i need a beer , some ventalation thing for solder fumes , a bipolar 5-12 volt power supply , tons of lighting and outlets (24) / switch boxs . cable organizers , hot glue temp control , solder station , shrink boot clips , a lil rope pulley with a clothes pin on the top back , down to the floor for pulling cables up the rear and more .
i got the cutest lil dwarf guy today , he has a guitar , apointy hat and a bulbous tail , he was on top of this mini coat rack thing in the dumpster . my good luck shclumph (demon) , i think he fights the spirits of reverse polarity .
