Re: Pretty funny Mike Patton rip off
How is being influenced by someone ripping them off? How is Patton going to be losing money because of this?
I'd never heard of them until now and aren't going to put off buying a Patton product in favour of some band who "pays tribute to him" a bit too much. Is this a religion?
Anyway, what I think you're seeing is that they wear suits, one of them has a little goatee and swept back medium length hair, "Alter Boys" = religious reference (see "Faith No More"), they're on the internettube, they are in a few other bands, one vocalist sings in a Pattonesque death metal growl, the other does that similar FX-heavy speaking/rapping nasal voice, they use lights at gigs so they can see what they are doing, one sings with a limp wrist, one sings leaning into the audience rocking back and forth, there's evidence that they can both sing well, they use the English language in their lyrics, hard/soft guitar and drum dynamics between choruses and verses, some people are watching them perform live, weird middle eight breakdown, they have obsessed fanboys who complain about them and other bands on the Internet as though protecting some kind of sacred cow and anyway, that keyboard riff is one note off being the chorus for "Bulletproof" by La Roux.

Apart from that, yeah they're...sorry, where was I going with this again? That and they are not similar at all. Except for what I noted above
'n shit.

so, was jimmy page an unbelievable guitarist or merely a thief who played sloppily in a live setting?
this needs addressing.

I'm glad no one would rip you off. Of course, it would be stupid.
