True, hype does that. And yes, Nixon looked terrible. My biggest problem with it is still the faghole that portayed Ozymandias.

Hey, fuck you! That whole opening scene was the shit! They summed up so much of the book in five minutes, with this kick ass photography/old comic book feel to it... It couldnt have been done better. Damn great CGI or whatever they call it... It looked good, that much I know.
Not to mention portrayal of this alternate universe, with real historic events/figures combined with our vigilantes. Brilliant! Andy Warhol doing prints of The Owl, moon landing with Dr Manhattan, Ozyman at the opening of Studio 54, along with Village People (coincidence?) and Bowie as Ziggy, the Comedian shooting JFK, the protesting burning munk on the TV, Castro doing business in Moscow, etc...
These first five-ten minutes is a work of art, and I remember going crazy in the theater while watching it.
And yes, that song is awesome!
