No way, dude, you're totally wrong about the garlic butter.

Crush garlic with a press, mix with softened butter. Voila.

None of this cooking garbage.

Don't ask Rus for advice he knows nothing.

I made the butter, but I forgot to tell yous guys how. It's similar to your recipe.

You cut the garlic uber fine and lightly fry it in some olive oil. Add the fried garlic and olive oil to some softened salted butter with ba teaspoon of basil and a teaspoon of oregano.....voila!

you obviously don't know that roasting or frying garlic does something to its molecular build that activates certain health somethingorother qualities
also, if you like garlic as much as i do, but you don't want to get blasted to space, roasting mellows it out enough that you can get maximum flavor without the harsh "spiciness"

next up
why we should avoid cooking with olive oil...

I WANT TO GET BLASTED TO SPACE.

There's a huge difference between the taste of roasted and raw garlic. Any dummy knows that. For butter, the sharper flavor is better. Roasted garlic is better on pizza, or spreading on bread alone.

"Garlic contains calcium, phosphorus, iron and potassium, plus thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and vitamin C. Its two volatile oils, allin and allinase, are separate inside the bulb, but once cut and crushed the two mix and become allicin; this is the sulfur compound of the pungent odor we know so well. It is also a powerful antibiotic: seventy-two separate infection agents can be deterred by garlic. Cooking will destroy this antibacterial agent, though it leaves untouched other therapeutic qualities."

supposedly, garlic also has anti-cancerous agents that don't get activated UNTIL cooked
i know you and your wus ways
you cut up a couple cloves of garlic and think that's enough
i need the whole bulb in there
and i happen to like the taste roasted
of course it tastes different ya midget
i eat enough raw garlic to kill elephants
sometimes you need a change of pace

if we want to get real stupid
the whole concept of garlic butter chokes because what do you plan to put it on?
bread?
nice try

Ha! Not hardly.

I made a recipe for black beans once, back in the day. It asked for 5 CLOVES of garlic, and I thought they meant 5 HEADS of garlic.

I am no wuss.

Yeah, apparent to people who have to try something three times to realize they don't like it. It's like yuppies trying to convince themselves they like sake, when truly they don't.

What do we associate with weed? Laziness, binge-eating and patchouli.

I can totally see how those things would appeal to you and make you want to "give it another chance."

I was considering it, but so far I've only banned Goatoveries for calling me a Welsh Cake.
