a couple months ago I had a huge craving for 7up cake. I went out and got a bunt pan just for it....deee-licious. I can imagine mt dew would be pretty good. I want to try an orange soda next time.

My mom made 7-up pound cakes throughout the years. I've always made the 7-up one until this year. First, I used Sierra Mist, then last weekend I used Mt. Dew. To me, the Mt. Dew cake is the best. It had a better taste and the outside browned better and was crispy. Sooooooo freaking yummy! Of course I thought of trying orange soda as well.

I'm going to post the recipe in this thread...sometime.

Do you use the Swan's Down cake flour?

If you try orange soda, please let me know how it turns out. I'm sure it'll be great!

I just use a generic bread flour for pretty much everything. I buy a giant 25lb sack every month/couple months, depending how much I'm baking.
