I'd say go for it if I knew what you were talking about.
I'm going to spend a silly amount of money of one of your recommendations.

Which one?

I don't think there were any Welsh in the Proposition.
Did a lot of Welsh immigrate to Australia?
I never did the research.
Not that many came here.
Nowhere the amount of the Scots or the Irish.
Philadelphia has Welsh named streets that even the residents can't pronounce.

Oban is a very good choice.
I didn't mention Scapa and that is one of my favorites.
It's also a bit cheaper.
Very smooth.
A noticeable hint of honey during and after.

I looked at a bottle of Oban on the weekend. Definately waiting until duty free for that one.

Do you know them personally, Busta? Have you met them?

If not, I can't see how you can possibly prove that.

Weak.

Nah. It was only a small bottle shop.

They wanted almost $100 Aus for a bottle for the Oban, which isn't entirely non-doable, but I'm sure I'll find a better deal in transit in December.

A taste of Danish
Joe Bates with the latest from travel retail
Store Focus.

Copenhagen Kastrup.

If only every duty-free shop could look like Swiss travel retailer The Nuance Group’s new flagship store at Copenhagen airport.

At a spacious 2,700sq m this light, airy outlet, is easily the largest airport shop in Europe. The wellstocked liquor section is separated into three areas: white liquor, wine and brown liquor. Between 250 and 270 whiskies are offered in the brown liquor corner, about 80 per cent of them Scotch whiskies, 10 per cent Irish, and the remaining 10 per cent Bourbons and other international whiskies.

The store’s best-selling whiskies are all blends: The Famous Grouse, Chivas Regal and Ballantines.

The malt selection is impressive and includes a number of rare, super-premium or travel-retail exclusive references, including Laphroaig 30 year old (DKK2,349/£215.85), Bowmore 25 year old (DKK1,499/£137.75), Ardmore 100th Anniversary (DKK999.95/£93.26) and Springbank 1989 Port Wood (DKK579/£353.20).

The store has a rolling programme of promotions and about six-eight whiskies are available for tasting at any one time. During August offers include Ballantines Gold Seal at DKK229.95 (£21.12), Scapa 14 year old at DK209.95 (£19.30) and Laphroaig 10 year old at DKK219.95 (£20.20).

An excellent whisky offer is also to be found at Nuance’s Connoisseurs Club store, which is located in Terminal 3.

Best Buy.

Scapa 14 Year Old.

In January this year Scapa distillery, one of only two Orkney whiskies, re-opened full time after being .....

For back-up I've got Free Duty at HK Airport:
The "Best Liquor Travel Retailer in Asia Pacific 2006" (Raven-Fox), with a great savings of 50 ~ 70% over downtown. Free Duty’s selection is the largest in Asia Pacific and covers everything from the most popular to the most prestigious and rare items.
