an easy, quick and yummie way to eat aubergines

cut the aubergine in big slices, rub the slices in with a raw egg, then cover them with
flour and bake them on a high fire for about a minute.

YUM!

oh yeah, almost forgot, add pepper before the baking begings,

Have you done this before?

I thought eggplant needed to be processed in some way to remove the bitter taste? Like soaking it in salt water or grilling it and then squeezing the juices out?

theres no need for a procession(sp?), thats what makes it so great.
and i've eaten it the same day for the first time, and it was really damn tasteful.

I'm not doubting you, but that surprises me.

Then again, I've never really cooked eggplant.

they do pretty good in a ratatuolle(sp??) also, where they are mixed with other kinds of vegetables.
but thats as far as i can go.

Supposedly zucchini tastes a lot better if, after slicing it, you let it sit for about 20 minutes and "sweat."
