I think he gave permission to Stephen Colbert to use the name Mos Def.

Everytime I see Yasiin Bey on Real Time with Bill Maher, I can never understand what he's saying. Kind of a mumbler. I'd say he's a religious left winger type. Progressive by name, but Conservative by religious constraint? Sounds like some shit that would keep me up all night with those conflicting beliefs. Cognitive Dissonance is what he should change his name to hahaha.

Also Yasiin was on the last season of Dexter and Gorillaz - Plastic Beach.

mos def sounds totally 80's , to me anyway .

I've heard of him, just not (knowingly) heard him.
I'll check him out. I've heard Talib Kweli, who is rather on the "meh" side of things.
