Re: Kylesa - Spiral Shadow
I've listened to that today, it leans more towards hardcore and sludge and is less melodic than Spiral...

Re: Kylesa - Spiral Shadow
To be decent, this would have to be a huge huge improvement on Static Tensions, which was ass. As is this whole Mastodon/Baroness/John Baizley scene: all artwork and no good music.
I have read reviews that they have gone in a more melodic/grunge direction, so I consider giving them another go. But no hurry.

I saw them open for Converge. They didn't really grab me, but I was pumped for Converge... being the pimperly, impressionable teenager I am.

Saw them play on Saturday, they were good. What a good tour too... Vitus, Crobar, Helmet, etc.

Re: Kylesa - Spiral Shadow
I missed that
"Helmet" played Meantime right? When I saw them last year, only the old songs were any good live...
And I really like the new album

Yeah he played the whole album. I've never been to in to them but I enjoyed it live. The highlight for me was St Vitus tho.
