older television series revisited

we have been watching some older tv shows here ,with my kids . seems they missed out on some really bad 80's series , so i felt i had to enlighten them , since now there are several networks , tons of horrible "childrens" shows available , 24 hours a day . imagine the horror when its 3:30 a.m. and you discover you child is watching some disney trash in their room and they have school the next day !
so far we have watched a season and a half of A-Team , thats what started this , we watched the A-team movie and my "little" one enjoyed it . she is into action movies , so we have been watching all the ahnold ones .
the incredible hulk , with bill bixby , whom my daughter is convinced is a closet homosexual . the show really isnt too bad , some episodes are very slow though . there always is a "love interest" in every episode that has a glaring flaw and some sort of emotional issue . its awesome when hulk high tails it every week , and they play the "sad" music .
now we are getting into the sci fi scene , so its buck rogers , which is kind of sleazy , that little robot makes a few inappropriate comments , for a "family" show . there is never a shortage of skanks , in space apparently . gil gerard is getting fatter each episode , and erin grey is annoyingly overly charming .
Space 1999 is actually excellent , the first season anyway . thats a pretty cool lil show , but its really old . lotsa moog , and some pretty darn good effects . i gues some of the guys who did 2001 worked on it . the second season they americanized it , it goes right in the toilet , but i am still really looking forward to that .
and lastly the lost in space show , which unfortunately barely chugs along in the early B+W episodes , looking forward to when it goes down hill , with the vegetable man , the really rotten last season . same thing with the original Battlestar galactica . i am gonna have to get that , i think the last season may bring the most enjoyment , every episode features a space casino , with slave mutants .
so i am kind of hitting the bottom of the barrel here , i mean i was thinking MAYBE a few knight riders , but dont know if my girls would dig it . deet really like cars stuff so we'll see, but , queeg , she will prolly doze off !
im thinkin maybe i'll get the red dwarf when i run out of usa tv , save the best for last .
any recommendations here ? serious ones though , cagney and lacy , the facts of life . . . pryors place , i dont want to torture my kids .
