Anything involving Emmerich can't be good. How the fuck is this guy still getting jobs in Hollywood?

i was 14 when it came out, saw it in the theaters
didnt care about the story or the hilarious, preposterous computer virus gag at the end (even aliens have windows! a-hyuck!)
just lots of jeff goldblum acting bewildered, bill pullman squinting and the white house being destroyed
yeah!

Fan of Goldblum? Me too, dude. He was my biggest hero when I was 10, thanks to Jurassic Park. My mom didnt allow me to see that one because she fucked up by mistake earlier, by allowing me to watch Cannibal Holocaust with my older brother, at the age of 8. Swear to god, Ive never been the same since. But that didnt stop me from sneaking out of the house to go see Jurrasic Park in the theaters, all alone :)
I was 13 when I saw ID4, and I remember liking it. But Ive only seen it two or three times, so Im ready for a repeat.

I think ive mentioned it earlier, and its not really that much of a story. Also it will only make me look like a pussy. See, I had to sleep in my parents bed for at least one week. And I had nighmares for months/years, and sometimes even extreme night terror attacks. That said, I had similar attacks before I saw Hannibal Holocaust, and the doctors told my mother that it wasnt that unusual. There was this one night terror episode where I was sleepwalking down to our livingroom, just to scare the shit out of my entire family by screaming at the top of my lungs, while eyballing each and every one of them. I wish someone had a videotape of that...
I was also heavily bothered with sleepwalking in general, and the things I did in my sleep includes everything from stealing my sisters hamster (no, not like that you filthy pig), to taking a leak in my shoes. Oh man, there are so many stories! My sister once found me on the balcony, on the third floor, staring apatic at the view...
After that I became so afraid of killing myself during sleep, that I slept handcuffed to my bed.
Yeah, I was very stressed and also hyperactivite as a kid. I was in fact tested for MDB (Minimal Brain Dysfunction), now better known as ADHD. I had some of the signs, but I guess I fooled the system. I turned out great 8)
What pisses me off about all this, is that ive never had a wet dream

Yeah.
Who's the hot bit of totty that has to be rescued at some point?
And who plays the fat, cynical asshole, that doesn't believe the end is coming and gets wiped out brutally?

These things are key to the formu...err, plot.
