Darkly Dreaming Dexter

I really enjoyed it, very different at times from the show, its weird when you watch the show and see how drawn out all the characters like rita who's a really small bit in the book.

First two were very fun. Third was garbage. Why the fuck would you introduce magic into a story like Dexter? I've not read the 4th instalment but by all accounts it's quite funny.

There are 4 books in the series so far. Third is nothing like the third season of the TV show. Fourth gets more on track with the series again apparently, but there are some large diversions of plot and character emphasis e.g. The kids being 'damaged' like Dexter in the books.
