More Chaser as well.
I wonder if it'll be as unfunny as season 2 was?

Yes...more British comedy is required over here*. I'm looking forward to Jonathan Ross on Monday nights.

* Why is Aussie TV so shit?

Ponderland was good - it was the Christmas special. Lots of Bad Santa stuff and what 'zones' they are/aren't allowed to touch kids.

That was Full Frontal from many years ago. I think most of the stuff from that show has aged pretty badly.
The Micallef Programme was awesome.

Well..depends on the comedies you're talking about.
I'm not sure what's new over there, but off the top of my head, the following were all fab.
The Fast Show
Trigger Happy TV
Black Books
Red Dwarf
Chewing the Fat
Absolutely
Men behaving Badly
I'm Alan Partridge/Knowing me, Knowing you
Blackadder
Spaced

Quiz shows:
Have I got News for you
Never mind the Buzzcocks (I used to watch it with Mark Lamarr)
Shooting Stars - or anything else with Vic and Bob

Saturday mornings with Ant and Dec shits all over most of the 'comedy' I've seen here.

And this is without delving into the 'classic' stuff like Porridge, Monty Python, etc

Loads of them have been ripped off by other programmes or comedians that are now being hailed as hilarious and original...

I thought you were talking about recent programs. There's been some great Aussie comedy in past years.

Nostalgia!
Hmm, you have uncannily similar taste to me, my dear.

The Fast Show - never got into it, very repetitive though
Trigger Happy TV - awesome, petered out and ran out of ideas
Black Books - I didn't watch this enough, excellent at times
Red Dwarf - started poorly, went mega-awesome, petered out terribly, was recently dug up and skull-fucked publicly.
Chewing the Fat - see "fast show"
Absolutely - BEST sketch show ever, nothing like it since
Men behaving Badly - sitcom, ok in parts
I'm Alan Partridge/Knowing me, Knowing you - there's hope he'll return
Blackadder - series 1 sucks, 2, 3 and 4 are essential britcom watching
Spaced - never got into it, but I am told it works well as a DVD marathon watch session

Quiz shows:
Have I got News for you - still on, different host each week, so hit and miss
Never mind the Buzzcocks (I used to watch it with Mark Lamarr) - new host Simon Amstell is better. Really.
Shooting Stars - or anything else with Vic and Bob - was dug up and was shite.

Can't believe you missed Ab Fab, Royle Family, The Day Today, Brasseye, Jam, Father Ted and Big Train.
:eyes:

For your up to date viewing pleasure, the 90s warrior should try these young upstarts:
The Mighty Boosh - Series 1 and 2 are epic. 3 is fail.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AckvdGbk4w

The IT Crowd - genuine Father Ted-esque nuggets are buried in there, try it. This is the anti-piracy ad they watch on an illegal DVD
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALZZx1xmAzg

Stewart Lee - get his live stand up from 2003 onwards, or "Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle".

Yes, a lot of the sketches rely on a catch-phrase or series of repeated lines, but there are some absolute gems.

"Black! Black as the night!! We crawl on our knees to our doom!!"

"Small boys, jumpers for goalposts."
Mr John wrote: Trigger Happy TV - awesome, petered out and ran out of ideas
Agreed. Some bloody funny stuff, though.

I confess that I think some of "Balls of Steel" is absolutely hilarious, though, so I'm not exactly representative of high-brow culture or anything.
Mr John wrote: Black Books - I didn't watch this enough, excellent at times
Pretty much anything Moran does is quality.
Mr John wrote: Red Dwarf - started poorly, went mega-awesome, petered out terribly, was recently dug up and skull-fucked publicly.
Agree 100% Series 7, with Kachanski, was the downward turn for me.
Mr John wrote: Blackadder - series 1 sucks, 2, 3 and 4 are essential britcom watching
Agree 100%.

Agree 100%. Series 1 & 2 shit all over series 3.

"Cheese is a kind of meat /
A tasty yellow beef! /
I milk it from my teat! /
Though I try to be discreet! /
Whoooaaaa cheese. /
Whoooaaaa cheese."

Yes to all of the above, apart from:
the Fast Show - it was wonderful. And (poorly) ripped off by various other shows (e.g. Little Britain)
Never saw Big Train
I saw a few Mighty Boosh - some was brilliant, some not

Can't believe I missed Ab Fab, Chris Morris and Father Ted!
