"King Of Comedy" is Deniro's best role ever.

we watched Killdozer last night

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071717/

i remember seeing the preview for this when i was little , like abc monday night movie of the week . i also remember being FUCKING terrified of killdozer . its actually a really terrible film . all 5 of the actors are incredibly stiff acting , really lame macho bravado dialog , then the one token "goofy guy" who gets squished by K.D. . why didnt he just run ? the thing moves at like 3 mph !!!

the soundtrack was pretty rad though they had to get a french guy "gus miiles" or something . he had some sort of synthesizer / moog thing . made a lot of beep bloowieooowieoowie noises . the actual K.D. had 2 round headlamps that were on a dimmer , it was actually kinda cute looking .

i was shitting my pants as a kid though .

one odd thing , the company that was running this show , was called WARBURTON , in the first shot you can clearly see the logo . they are on this tiny pacific island setting up a camp . the the rest of the film the logo was changed to warco ! but they do mention warburton quickly towards the end . i wonder if haliburton was around back then ?

spoiler , they electrocute k.d. at the end , super anticlimactic . zzzzzt . a little tiny fire , NEXT to the dozer ... THE END .
the finished product is just the garbage left over from doing the work.

after watching herzogs "stroszek" , i was left feeling very ill . it is one of those movies that really challenges you , i would say the only other film in its neighborhood would be eraserhead . it still haunts me to this day , and honestly i kind of regret watching it , so i would NOT recommend it .

when i was a kid , on a trip to the east coast we did actually encounter a dancing chicken arcade machine . this fascinated me to no end , and we did NOT play any games that day , our quarters went into the both chicken machines . they had a "beat the chicken" tic tac toe one as well . i had retold this story in great detail quite a few times , and eventually i was asked to write it out , and it was "published" in a local punk zine around 1980 .

i have been reading about W.H.'s work this morning and i ran into this , which i was unaware of :

http://wonderchroma.com/reel/stroszek-a ... an-curtis/

like i said , don't watch this movie folks .

A++++++
Everybody stream this on your Netfix ASAP. This movie has it all
The best trippy Casio 80's soundtrack since Liquid Sky, 80's monster claymation and it's by far Denis Quaids best role ever.

late getting around to this one.
I did quite a bit of loling.
I need to send it back and demand another copy though.
mine was damaged. I lay blame on someone ripping this
thing from their player and throwing against a wall.

watched the first one last night.
just what you would expect.
I had no idea the dad's name is harry potter. (see where I am going with this!?)
I am looking forward to part 2 aka "the best worst movie ever made".

You like it a lot better a few days after. The concept is really really cool and I love the oldschool 80's painted backgrounds but there's a lot of fluff.

The hooker is a really crumby and Mike Judge is not so great as comic relief.

I did like the president a lot

"idiocracy" i really got a kick outta that the first time i saw it , but it came at me from left field . i didn't read the back or know anything about it, i just rented it . great "social commentary" comedy , seriously funny shit .

as far as newer comedies i really laughed at , check out "fubar" , its a little off the beaten path but silly as fuck / good ole laugh out loud shit funny as hell movie :

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0302585/

its really fucking funny as shit , the sequel is aslo excellent .

i dont know , i grew up with a lot of guys who kind of fit that stereo type , i mean i wasn't really like that too much , but a lot of the folks i grew up with kinda emulated that same train of thought pretty much . but you might find it really stupid if you didnt actually see folks that lived like that 24/7 .

oh yeah , speaking of funny shit , the first 5 minutes of the crimbus special fuckin rules . (tim and eric) .

petey, yes I've got fubar on the queue per your recommendation.
I was friends with critters like the ones in this movie, so I think I will relate/LOL.

ah yes, the crimbus special. it seemed to fall flat as it went on, but I think it
is still worth seeing if you are a tim & eric fan.

speaking of funny shit (again) ala tim & eric, have you seen clips from check it out with dr steve brule?
I don't think it is on dvd yet, but you can watch clips on youtube and adult swim's website.
that guy... fuckin'... I can't even take it.
