Burn After Reading

Post by Roark »

Good flick. The "whacky" Coen-style characters aren't too over the top. Especially loved the manager of Hardbodies ("I'm not here as a representative of Hardbodies"). Good stuff. Frances McDormand is excellent as always. Brad Pitt utilised his usual tricks evident in 12 Monkeys and Fight Club, but was still bearable and likeable, mainly due to his script.

Now the important stuff...

There are 2 major facial slayings in this movie, which are quite harrowing in comparison to the rest of the movie's goodnatured...ness.

The word "fucker" is used exactly the right number of times.

4 hard fists and a couple of borgs to boot.
