For a minute there I was like What the fuck?? Stone? Gossard?Stone Gossard";p="993942 wrote:Burtons "Batman" was released in 1989, "...Begins" was in pre-production since the failure of "Batman Forever" in 1995, so there's a ten year difference between the two series', which probably contributed to "...Begins" making enough at the box office to make "Dark Knight".erutlucorgga";p="993875 wrote:The Dark Knight was alright
But really they had no business re-making the Batmans so soon after Burton (Batman Begins was just terrible)
If you want to fuck a corpse, at least wait till it's cold
But I want to see Earth Stood Still...I stole a poster from the subway, it's in my kitcheon
Which has made LOADS of wonga, so I think "they" (Warner Bros) had plenty of business selling their product when they did.
I think it's fair to say that the seemingly infinite number of Batman cartoons and graphic novels have kept an interest in the charactor, against say, the 60 year wait between old and new "Day the Earth..." movies, but Star Trek is being "rebooted" too. It is finished already, but slated for 2009, just 7 years after "Nemisis" grossed the least for that run of films. Watch "...Trek" and its inevitable sequels cash in. This shit is helping your economy, remember.
I'm only averse to cash-in simpleton copycat issues, like poor dance remixes of great rock songs. That grates, but again, the original version still exists and is still available to us. That is our choice, to vote with our dollars.
But I get it now. You are Mr John.
...this time like triple sarcasm
